About Me

A better way to experience the mountain.

I created The Ski Companion for skiers who don’t want ski school—but don’t want to feel lost, rushed, or unsure on the mountain either.

I’ve spent years skiing in-bounds terrain, learning how different conditions, crowds, and routes affect the day. What I enjoy most isn’t teaching drills or calling out technique—it’s helping people move through the mountain with confidence, at a pace that feels right for them.

That’s what this service is built around.

Why This Exists

Ski days can feel overwhelming:

  • New resorts

  • Mixed ability groups

  • Limited time

  • Crowded lifts

  • Uncertainty about where to go next

The Ski Companion removes that friction.

Instead of guessing runs, splitting up, or feeling pressured to keep up, you ski alongside someone who understands flow, timing, and terrain—and adapts to you.

No whistles.
No lectures.
No ego.

Just a smoother, more enjoyable day on snow.

My Approach

I ski with you—not ahead of you and not barking instructions behind you.

That means:

  • Thoughtful pacing

  • Smart terrain selection

  • Clear regroup points

  • Calm decision-making

  • Subtle guidance only when helpful

You stay in control.
You ski within your comfort level.
The day feels intentional instead of chaotic.

What This Is (and Isn’t)

The Ski Companion is:

  • Private, in-bounds companionship

  • Personalized to your pace and goals

  • Ideal for individuals, couples, and groups

The Ski Companion is not:

  • Ski instruction or certification

  • Backcountry or avalanche guiding

  • A substitute for ski school for beginners

This clarity keeps the experience relaxed, safe, and exactly what it’s meant to be.

Who I Work With

I work best with:

  • Visiting skiers who want local knowledge

  • Intermediate skiers building confidence

  • Solo skiers who want relaxed company

  • Couples or groups with mixed abilities

  • Families and large groups who want to stay together

If you value flow, confidence, and a calm presence on the mountain—you’ll feel right at home here.

A Final Note

Skiing should feel fun, not stressful.

If you’re looking for a smoother day, better decisions, and someone who knows when to push and when to cruise, The Ski Companion is here to ride with you.
